Keep it natural

A natural make-up look full of nude shades is perfect for the Spring, and it will help you to achieve a healthy glow. Soft peach and coral tones will create a fresh, pretty look that’ll enhance all of your features, rather than concealing them. All you need is a light dusting of peach blush on the apple of your cheeks – it’s usually best to wear a shade that is similar to the colour of your cheeks when they ‘flush’ naturally. Finish with a slick of nude or coral pink gloss. Keep your eye make-up simple with a sweep of mascara and a dash of creamy eye shimmer. Opt for a lighter liquid-based foundation that is light to buildable coverage, as this will help to make your skin look dewy. This make-up look is also perfectly suited to a boho bride!

Sexy smoky eye

A smoky eye simply oozes sexiness and sophistication, and is definitely a more dramatic look for your wedding day. Warm, golden tones are best suited to blondes whereas black, silver accents look stunning on brunettes. Dove grey teamed with midnight black are guaranteed to make your eye colour pop! I love the idea of adding a touch of sparkle to your eyeshadow, which is especially perfect if you’re tying the knot in the Winter. You can either finish this look with a nude lip so that all attention is on your eyes, or go all out with a bold lipstick – either will look gorgeous!

Pretty in pink

For a make-up look that is utterly feminine, opt for different pretty pink shades. A pale rose pink shimmer to your eyes will look delicate whilst adding a subtle shine. Dusty pink blusher will complement add a natural colour to your cheeks, creating a rosy glow. Hot pinks or pastel nudes will look beautiful on your lips – why not change your lip colour from the ceremony to the reception for a different bridal look?

Golden girl

Planning a Summer wedding or a glitzy, glamorous affair? Then a golden, bronzed goddess make-up look is perfect for you! A touch of highlighter will help you to look bright and awake, whilst still looking wonderfully natural – just make sure you don’t overdo this as you don’t want to look too shiny in your wedding photographs. Create a sun-kissed style by applying bronzer to the areas of your face that would catch the sun: your forehead, nose, chin and cheekbones. Blend golden shades of creamy eyeshadow for a gorgeous, radiant glow. Add a pop of colour with a blush lipstick – matte or gloss will look beautiful.

The red lip

For a look that screams vintage glamour, a statement red lipstick is a must-have! A flick of black eyeliner will look ultra classy. If hot red isn’t your colour, go bold with berry purple, wine red or even peony pink. You can pull off a bright lip in any season, just be sure to keep the rest of your make-up understated and elegant.

We recommend having at least two make-up trials before the big day – whether you’ve booked a professional make-up artist or if you’re doing it yourself. It’ll mean you’re saving yourself a whole ton of stress on the morning of the wedding, and there is no risk of your make-up going wrong!
