Celebrities in Flower Crowns
I think it’s safe to say that the wedding flower crown trend is here to stay! But it seems we’re not the only ones who are completely head over heels with bridal blooms – celebrities are wearing them on their wedding day more than ever before!
Traditionally, it was just the flower girls who wore crowns, but now tons of brides have taken to wearing them as they walk down the aisle. The likes of Kate Moss, Ashley Tisdale and even Audrey Hepburn are just a handful of famous faces that have worn flower crowns on their wedding day.
Flower crowns are such a versatile, beautiful hair accessory that can be worn at any type of wedding, whether it’s bohemian, vintage or even traditional. Brides can wear any style of flower crown they fancy, whether it’s bright and bold or delicate and subtle. Flower crowns are also suited to any season, just adjust the type of flower used to the season. We can definitely see why they’re so popular.
Brides are also spoilt for choice when it comes to the material of their bridal flower crown. They can be made out of real flowers, silk flowers or even jewellery to create a floral design. It’s no wonder celebrities are donning a crown in place of the traditional tiara!
Flower crowns are perfect for all of the bridal party too. A white, elegant crown for the bride will look fab against smaller crowns for the bridesmaids, possibly a variety shades that suit the wedding colour scheme.
Ashley Tisdale opted for an elegant flower crown consisting of classic white gypsophila when she tied the knot with Christopher French. Renee Puente, who wed Matthew Morrison, wore a purple flower crown with green foliage, and it looked absolutely gorgeous. I love the fact that Kate Moss asked all of her flower girls and bridesmaids to wear flower crowns at her gorgeous wedding.

Celebrities are also rocking this fab trend on the red carpet and in everyday life too. Pixie Lott, Lana Del Rey and Selena Gomez appear to be huge fans of the floral look. The most wonderful thing about flower crowns is that you can team with an evening dress for an ultra glam look, or pair with a Summer dress or even jeans! You can adapt your flower crown to your individual style, and it’s easy to transition it from a day to night look.
Don’t forget, you can tie in your wedding make-up with the colours of your crown for a look that is completely coordinated. If you’ve opted for flowers that are full of bright pink and deep red, why not wear a statement lip in hot pink or bold red. On the other hand, delicate blooms in pastel tones will look super pretty with natural make-up that is oh-so subtle. Perhaps a pale, coral lip or pretty pink blusher? It’s easy to create a bridal make-up style that looks perfect with your flower crown!
