Boho Wedding in the City

Boho Wedding in the City

Floral crowns and rustic garlands can often lead us to thinking of barn weddings, hay bales and woodland forest weddings. But it doesn’t have to be the case. If you want to rock a flower crown on your big day then who's to say when and where you can wear it!

Flashback to one of our earlier photoshoots ‘boho in the city’, which shows that the flower crown looks just as good in the city as it would amongst the woodland. We love mixing looks together, so bringing the bohemian flower crown in amongst the urban backdrop of Manchester City Centre was a great way to show that this works.

To complete the boho city look, we opted for jumpsuits and 2 pieces by House of Ollichon as opposed to the traditional dress, to add an edge of alternative coolness. Teamed with some Charlotte Mills shoes which is always a good thing, the outfit was complete.

Whilst artificial flower crowns are perfect for your big day; you don’t have to worry about hay fever, bees or wilting flowers, there is still a quality in real flowers that just can’t be replicated in the artificial world, so we opted for real flowers, supplied by the funky and amazingly talented florists that is Paragon Floral for the hand held bouquets. Whilst we always use artificial flowers in our wedding crowns, it's nice to throw real into the mix.

Hair and makeup was in keeping with the bohemian look with the compulsory braids and barely there make-up. Kenny Brown, our resident Manchester photographer, famed for his portraiture and story telling photography, captured the boho bride look perfectly against the urban backdrop of Manchester City.

Full of history where old meets new; you can catch glimpses of the cobbles showing through and the huge metal structures supporting the transport network, all set against the Hilton Hotel standing proud in all it's glory.

Thank you Manchester, my adopted home city.
